1. Purpose and Scope

This Cookie Policy explains how ASIP Technologies, Inc. (“ASIP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on the ASIP website and other ASIP-controlled websites, web applications, and mobile services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

This Policy should be read together with ASIP’s Privacy Policy, Artificial Intelligence Customer Notice, and Terms of Service.

2. What Cookies and Similar Technologies Are

Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device when a person visits a website. Cookies may contain identifiers and other information used to recognize a browser, maintain a session, remember a preference, protect an account, or understand how a service is used.

ASIP may also use similar technologies, including:

Local and session storage;
Software development kits (“SDKs”);
Pixels, tags, and web beacons;
Mobile and device identifiers;
Scripts and application programming interfaces;
Cache storage;
Consent and preference signals; and
Other technologies that store information on or access information from a browser or device.

In this Policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies unless the context requires otherwise.

3. First-Party and Third-Party Cookies

First-party cookies are set by ASIP or through an ASIP-controlled domain.

Third-party cookies or technologies are set or operated by another organization that provides a service to ASIP, such as consent management, security, hosting, analytics, communications, or embedded content.

A third party may process information collected through its technology according to its agreement with ASIP and, where it acts independently, its own privacy policy.

The cookies available through the Services may fall into the categories below.

4.1 Strictly necessary cookies

These technologies are required to provide a service requested by the user, protect the Services, maintain a session, authenticate a user, balance network traffic, remember privacy choices, or provide other essential functionality.

Examples may include:

Security and fraud-prevention controls;
Session and authentication tokens;
Load-balancing and service-routing cookies;
Cookie-consent and privacy-preference records;
Accessibility or language settings necessary to deliver a requested experience; and
Technical records needed to submit a form or maintain a secure connection.

Strictly necessary cookies cannot ordinarily be disabled through the ASIP consent tool because the Services may not function correctly without them. A user can block them through browser settings, but doing so may cause parts of the Services to stop working.

4.2 Functional cookies

Functional cookies remember optional choices and provide enhanced features, such as:

Display, language, region, or interface preferences;
Saved settings;
Embedded media or interactive content; and
Enhanced support or communications features.

Where required by law, ASIP will request consent before using non-essential functional cookies.

4.3 Analytics and performance cookies

Analytics and performance technologies help ASIP understand how visitors use the Services and whether pages or features operate correctly.

They may collect information such as:

Pages or screens viewed;
Referring and exit pages;
Approximate location derived from IP address;
Browser, device, and operating-system type;
Dates, times, duration, navigation, and interaction events;
Performance, error, and diagnostic information; and
Aggregated usage patterns.

ASIP uses this information to measure traffic, identify errors, improve navigation, evaluate content, and develop the Services.

ASIP currently uses Google Analytics 4 on the public Site. It is active on page load and is not currently gated behind a consent prompt. ASIP is implementing a consent mechanism so that, where the law requires consent before analytics technologies are used, they do not run until that consent is given. Until that mechanism is live, the controls in Section 5 are the ones that actually apply, and the cookies set are listed in Section 6.

ASIP does not currently use cookies to sell personal information or to share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If ASIP later introduces targeted-advertising, retargeting, or social-media tracking technologies, ASIP will update this Policy, provide required notice, and offer consent or opt-out controls before or at the time required by law.

Ordinary links to ASIP social-media pages do not necessarily place social-media tracking cookies. Embedded social-media content or plugins may do so and, where used, will be subject to applicable consent controls.

ASIP does not yet display a cookie-consent banner or preference tool on the public Site. This section describes the controls that exist today, not ones ASIP intends to add.

A user can currently:

Block or delete cookies in the browser. Every major browser allows cookies to be blocked or cleared for a particular site. Doing so removes the analytics cookies listed in Section 6. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may cause parts of the Services to stop working.
Opt out of Google Analytics. Google publishes a browser add-on that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on any site, available at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Send a Global Privacy Control signal. See Section 8.
Submit a privacy-rights request through the request form linked as "Your privacy choices" in the Site footer.

ASIP is implementing a consent banner with accept, decline and per-category controls, together with a persistent control in the Site footer to change or withdraw a choice. This Policy will be updated when that is live. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred lawfully before withdrawal.

6. Specific Cookies and Technology Inventory

The technologies used by ASIP may change as the Services evolve.

The cookies set by the public Site today are listed below.

Google LLC is a recipient of the information these cookies collect, which includes the identifier held in the cookie, the IP address the request came from, and the pages viewed. That information is transferred to the United States.

This table is maintained by hand and is updated when a technology is added or removed.

ASIP will not intentionally activate a new non-essential category without updating the consent configuration and disclosures where required.

Cookie duration generally falls into one of these types:

Session: deleted when the browser session ends; or
Persistent: remains until its stated expiration date, the user deletes it, or ASIP or the provider removes it.

7. Legal Bases

ASIP uses strictly necessary technologies because they are required to provide requested functionality, maintain security, or support ASIP’s legitimate operation of the Services.

Where applicable law requires consent for storing or accessing information on a device, ASIP relies on consent for non-essential functional, analytics, performance, advertising, and social-media technologies.

Where U.S. state privacy law provides a right to opt out of sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or certain profiling, ASIP provides the applicable choice and processes legally valid supported preference signals as required.

8. Global Privacy Control and Browser Signals

Where required by applicable law and supported by the Services, ASIP treats a legally valid Global Privacy Control or similar recognized opt-out preference signal as a request to opt out for the browser or device sending the signal.

Browser “Do Not Track” signals do not operate under a uniform legal or technical standard. ASIP may not respond to Do Not Track signals unless required by law.

9. Browser and Device Controls

Most browsers allow users to view, delete, block, or limit cookies. Browser controls differ by provider and version.

Blocking all cookies may:

Prevent sign-in or secure session management;
Cause privacy choices not to be remembered;
Disable forms or saved settings;
Interfere with application functions; or
Reduce the reliability or availability of the Services.

Mobile operating systems may also provide controls for permissions, identifiers, tracking, local storage, and application data.

10. Mobile Applications

ASIP Go and ASIP Guardian may use SDKs, device identifiers, secure local storage, cached data, and similar technologies to:

Authenticate authorized users;
Maintain security and session state;
Enable offline workflows;
Remember settings;
Deliver notifications;
Diagnose crashes or performance issues; and
Support customer-authorized application features.

Mobile technologies may not appear in a browser cookie manager. Relevant collection and sharing will be described in the Privacy Policy, in-app notices, permission prompts, and applicable app-store privacy disclosures.

11. Enterprise Customer Configuration

An enterprise customer may configure parts of its ASIP tenant, enable integrations, or link to external services that use separate cookies or technologies.

Where the customer independently determines the use of a technology, the customer is responsible for providing any additional notice and obtaining any required consent. ASIP customers may not deploy undisclosed or unlawful tracking through the Services.

ASIP may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, vendors, laws, or Services change.

The revised Policy will be posted with an updated “Last Updated” date. ASIP will request renewed consent when required by law because of a material change.
