ASIP Screens devices
ASIP Screens on Amazon Fire TV
In build — not yet available
Fire TV devices that run Fire OS use the same ASIP Screens app as Google TV and Android TV. That covers Fire TV sticks and devices on Fire OS and the Amazon Signage Stick, which is made for signage.
What to know
The ASIP Screens app for Android TV devices.
- Newer Fire TV sticks run Vega OS, where Android apps do not install. A separate Vega OS player is planned after the Android player, so check which system your stick runs before you choose it.
- The Amazon Signage Stick is built for signage and can open a signage app when it starts. Consumer Fire TV sticks may not let an app open by itself when the device starts.
- The app is not in the Amazon Appstore yet.
Wake and auto-start
Starting the player when the device powers on, waking the TV from standby and making ASIP Screens the default app all depend on the device. Some devices allow them and some do not. We will publish what each device supports once the players have been checked on real hardware, and never claim that a screen turns itself on where the device does not allow it.
Before you buy hardware
If you plan to buy devices for ASIP Screens, wait until this page shows the player as ready. We check each player on real hardware before we change its status.
Does ASIP Screens run on every Fire TV stick?
The first player is for Fire TV devices that run Fire OS, including the Amazon Signage Stick. Newer sticks that run Vega OS need a separate player, which is planned after the first one. Both are in build.
Is the Fire TV app in the Amazon Appstore?
No. The app is in build and is not in the Amazon Appstore yet. We mark the player ready on this page only after it has been checked on real devices.
Your account can be ready before the players are.
Two screens free. No card until the third.
