ASIP Screens devices
ASIP Screens web player
In build — not yet available
The web player runs in a current web browser, so a PC, a ChromeOS device or a Windows kiosk connected to a display can be a screen with nothing to install.
What to know
The ASIP Screens web player, in a current browser.
- The browser has to stay open on the player page. How you keep it open and full screen after a restart depends on how you set up the device.
- The web player uses the same pairing code and playlists as the TV apps.
Wake and auto-start
Starting the player when the device powers on, waking the TV from standby and making ASIP Screens the default app all depend on the device. Some devices allow them and some do not. We will publish what each device supports once the players have been checked on real hardware, and never claim that a screen turns itself on where the device does not allow it.
Before you buy hardware
If you plan to buy devices for ASIP Screens, wait until this page shows the player as ready. We check each player on real hardware before we change its status.
Do I need to install anything for the web player?
No. It runs in a current web browser. The web player is in build.
Will the web player start by itself after a power cut?
That depends on how the device and browser are set up, not on the web player. Many kiosk setups can reopen a web page when they start.
Your account can be ready before the players are.
Two screens free. No card until the third.
